Have you been curious about the "Burlingame Space", in the old liquor store location? It's primarily a rehearsal space for the Portland Youth Jazz Orchestra — "PYJO".
It's too small to be a concert venue for the jazz band - they perform on college campuses, at churches, theaters, etc in the area.
BSpace is open on select weekends, when groups of up to 10 performers — mostly jazz!

The acoustics are great, the lighting is adequate (no spotlights), and the air handling seemed very efficient, and thankfully quiet! All in all, a very pleasant space.
Chairs are comfy too!
The David and John duo
Friday, July 25, 2025 there was a performance of note! David Friesen and John Stowell. Doors opened at 6:30. Cost was $15/pp.
David Friesen played his Hemage* bass and the Space's grand piano.
John Stowell effortlessly played his guitar.
